Disability Access
Riverside Theatres is committed to making theatre accessible for people with disabilities

Riverside offers level access and space for wheelchairs in all venues. Accessible bathrooms are also available. Please let the Riverside Theatres box office know if you need level access or a wheelchair space at the time of booking your tickets.

PARKING
Limited paid parking is available at the venue for patrons with a current disability parking permit. Patrons with particular seating needs, parking requirements, guide dogs or other special needs should advise Box Office at the time of booking

HEARING ASSISTANCE
Now you don’t have to miss a thing!

Riverside Theatres has installed new state-of-the-art hearing systems, the “Listen” hearing technology, in all three theatres to assist patrons who are hearing impaired. Patrons can choose from a single ear earpiece, a neck loop attached to their own hearing aid or their own headphones, to amplify the sound from the stage.

This system is adaptable for people with all types of hearing loss.

To access this free service, please pre-book the hearing system with the box office on 8839 3399, and your receiver and earpiece or loop will be waiting for you prior to your performance at Riverside.

Conditions of Use

• The number of receivers, earpiece and hearing loops are limited. Pre-booking a unit with the box office will ensure it is available.
• Patrons will be provided with a receiver and an earpiece or hearing loop, and these must be returned at the end of the performance. If they are not returned, a replacement fee will be charged.

Directions for use of the Riverside Hearing Assistance System

• Pre-book your hearing equipment with the Riverside Theatres box office
• The box office will provide you with a ticket, which can be exchanged for an FM receiver and an earpiece or hearing loop at the Riverside Theatres bar prior to the performance you are attending. Simply ask a bar staff member for assistance.
• The FM receiver will be tuned to the correct frequency for the theatre you are attending
• Plug your neck loop or earpiece into the receiver provided
• Turn on the dial at the top of the receiver, and the unit will begin receiving the signal.
• This dial acts as the volume control for the device.
• If using the neck loop, your hearing aid needs to turn to the T-position to access the FM reception through your hearing aid.
• Should you experience any difficulties, ask a staff member for assistance.
• Return the FM receiver and earpiece or hearing loop to the place of issue immediately following your performance.
